Loss of licence insurance
Loss of licence insurance activates when flying personnel (normally pilots and attendants) or other personnel working in the aviation industry (such as air traffic controllers) lose their licence to work because they no longer meet the medical requirements to qualify as fit.
Fitness to fly might end up at risk for a wide range of reasons (accident or illness).
Policyholders are either airlines, air traffic controllers’ associations, flying clubs or the insured person themselves.
In the case of a claim, the agreed capital payment is made in the form of an annuity or a one-time payment.
